Hey Chris,

Glad you got a laugh - my family sure was laughing after that too. Thanks for your encouragement.

"About 1.2 minutes later we still weren’t moving. Looking at my watch, I suddenly blurted out, “This is not good!”"

I literally laughed out loud.

Your humility is winsome -- and necessary -- in our world of self-centered arrogance. May I be like you.

Thanks for your comments, Ron. When someone goes through trials like you've been through and they still trust that God is sovereign, loving and good it really brings him glory. I hope that I can do the same should I ever have to walk through something like you have.

Hey Mark!

Thanks for this post, God's sovereignty has been somewhat of a theme in my life lately, I lost my first wife to breast cancer a few years ago and I would be lying if I said that it has been an easy road, however in the time that Kris(my first wife)has gone home, I have really sensed God's truly in control, in fact I don't know that my relationship with the Lord would be what it is today had I not gone through what I have been through. I'm convinced that nothing that comes into our lives is by chance or is a mistake, and as hard as it is to realize that means cancer too, I know that a lot of folks don't believe that but I'm convinced that God uses all things for our good and that includes the seemingly bad things that come into our lives.
God is truly good and he is sovereign, He has blessed me with a new wife and family and I love what it says in Psalm 68:5-6 "Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation, God settles the solitary (lonely) in a home he leads out the prisoners to prosperity but the rebellious dwell in a parched land."

I am so very thankful for my daddy's care in my life and I rest securely in the rock solid fact of his sovereignty.

Blessings
