We have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us (2 CO 4.7).
God is glorified amid human frailty. When Christ was crucified in weakness, God unleashed redemption on multitudes. The weaker you are, the better for God to display the gospel’s power through you.

Very timely post, as usual! I am so very weak, I feel especially weak today. I’m reminded of the truth that God is most glorified when we are at our weakest, as Paul states in 2 Cor. 12:9. God’s grace is sufficient for us for God’s power is made perfect in our weaknesses, Thank you for such a wonderful encouragement, I truly needed this today!

This is so important to remember during any kind of ministry. If our focus is on God’s glory, I think we’ll be much braver and ready to do all kinds of “hard things”. It’s not us working, it’s God working in us!
