Unforgettable

Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands (Isaiah 49.16)

Christ can never forget his redeemed, for he’s engraved us on his palms.  And every time he sees the nail marks in his glorified hands, he thinks of us, the ones he stretched out his arms on the cross to save.

Hey Mark!
Happy Thanksgiving, what a great post for this day of giving thanks! I’m truly thankful that though I’m a sinner deserving God’s unrelenting wrath, He has chosen in His sovereign grace to call me His child and will never forget me, never forsake me. My name is engraved in the palms of His hands, what a praise worthy truth!
Thank you for such an awesome reminder, I’m also thankful for you and Stephen and your encouraginf posts that you place here on The Blazing Center!
Blessings

WOW! Ever read a verse that for some reason you don’t ever remember having read before?

Thanks for placing Isaiah 49:16 infront of me!

Hey Boaly,

Isn’t that amazing how the Holy Spirit can suddenly make a verse come alive like that? I’m grateful the Lord did that with this verse for you.

Another one of my favorites from Isaiah that kinda has the opposite meaning: “And they [the people of Israel I believe] shall write on their hands, ‘The Lord’s…’” (Isaiah 44:5). Love that verse! Such a sweet reminder that we are Christ’s property, so to speak. We have been branded with Christ’s name by His blood!

Great verse, Rachel!

And the verse before that – “I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.” What a great promise for parents as well – that our children will write on their hands “The Lord’s…”. Thanks for reminding me of this verse.
