i dont think he means it in that term…i think he's reffering to how if you say the same word or it appears very repetitivly it starts to, grow dull and sort of confuse you about what it means.

“Amen” is definitely one. I read in revelation some days back that Jesus is called “The Amen”. I dont know all of what that means, but I think when we say Amen at the end of a prayer, we should be rejoicing in the truth that God hears our prayers because Jesus covers our sin.

“Holy” sometimes seems a far-off and distant word. When singing it or hearing it I sometimes have to mentally replace it with a word that means something more concrete to me, like ‘perfect’, ‘pure’, ‘just’, or ‘worthy of highest praise’.

Convicted.
We must beseech the Lord for affections and emotions that are fitting and right and true to respond appropriately to who he is and what he did for us and all that he continues to do. Tom – You guys have the advantage though, because everything said in an English accent sounds profound. You could say the word “nose hair” over and over and people would marvel. I’m jealous.

Stephen – over here in the UK, where we play REAL football any time anything mildly good is done, the use of words like “brilliant”, “wonder goal”, “stunning shot”, etc…those words have completely lost their meaning!
