I concur that with your assumption that John Wayne, Chuck Norris, and Macho Man Randy Savage would use also use the calfskin edition, if available to them.

For those who are contemplating taking the ‘calfskin plunge’ and are not quite sure you want to throw down the $$$, take a peek at my 100 Pictures of my ESV Study Bible in Calfskin.

I’d love for someone to do a comparison between the ESV Study Bible and the Reformation Study Bible. I grabbed the latter up as soon as it was available (I *think* it was the first study bible available in ESV), and I really need compelling reasons to switch to the ESVSB.

My top 10 reasons are:
1. The study notes are the best
2. The articles are excellent
3. The ability to go online in case you do not yours at your computer.
4. The Introductions are thorough
5. Great Bible reading plan in the back
6. My leather one the triangle almost looks like the Adidas logo according to a teenager at church.
7. It is highly recommended by really cool dudes such as John Piper, Mark Driscoll, J.I. Packer, and Jerry Bridges.
8. It is worth writing about on Facebook, Twitter, and blogs.
9. It is also worth recommending to fellow pastors and church members unlike some other study Bibles.
10. It is 100 times better than the NIV Study Bible and NASB Life Application Study Bible combined.

It helps me study! It’s a resource I know is theologically correct and I can rely upon when I have questions or when I am studying a passage of Scripture. It’s my favorite book!!!
