Proof of My Athletic Superiority

by Stephen Altrogge on January 8, 2010

Here’s a video of me at approximately age 8, demonstrating my superior athletic skills. There’s no audio, but you can tell that even at such a young age, I had the makings of a superstar.

Don’t be jealous of my shorts. Or my hair. Or my moves.

I'm surprised the NBA didn't snatch you up! :-)

It's easy to look good when your opponent is a 4 year old.

Wow, you look surprisingly similar to the 8 year old me. I should get some pictures up… the hair, the shorts (before Mike taught us to wear 'em a bit longer). Great stuff, man. Thanks for breaking out all the old school stuff.

How do you know that I didn't turn down an NBA contract when I was 8 years old?

He wasn't four. He was six.

Good thing there is no audio. I'm sure the trash talking was thick.

Most people don't get to see my freakish athletic side.

Wow. Hard to believe they let society get away with those shorts!

Nice to see that the Indiana sidewalks were up to "code" . . . meaning they had to be as crooked as possible. This is yet another show of your prowess. Dribbling on those sidewalks is a feat in and of itself!

Yeah, good old Indiana sidewalks. Got to love them.

Wow…I think this just completely proves that you are a wanna-be athlete. No offense meant, but more just a knock on your prowess. Those other kids were like 5 years younger than you!

Jeremy save it for the court. Any time you and Mike can drag yourselves to the court, I'm ready…

Hey what are those threads hanging from your shorts? Oh…I am sorry…those are your legs.

Okay…very funny.

The only thing you're missing? Knee-high tube socks with the colored stripes at the top. Man, that would have been dope.

StephenAltrogge January 11, 2010 at 5:09 pm

Man, I still would like to wear the knee-high socks. All the time. I love those things.

It's not the short's nor the skills I'm jealous of; it's the shoes.horts that I'm jealous of; it's the shoes.
