The Power Of Three

The Urban Dictionary defines the power of three as “The combined powers of three entities, upon such combination not only increase their power by three, but much greater.  The Power of Three is symbolized by a ‘triquetra’, a Celtic pattern that shows the center of three connected circles.”

Believers rely on the ultimate “Power of Three:”

“Wherever we find a promise of God, we have this assistance: the faithfulness of the Father, the grace of the Son, and the power of the Spirit. All three are engaged for our preservation.” — John Owen

When we pass through the waters, let us trust the Father will be faithful. In our time of need, let us draw near Christ, on the throne of grace, for help. And when we pass through the fire, let us seek the power of our helper, the Holy Spirit.

Our faithful Father, gracious Savior, and empowering Spirit.  All 3 persons of the Trinity, engaged to help us.  The ultimate Power of Three.  Who could ask for more?

I tend to neglect the concept of the Trinity but your post reminds me again of what a blessing it is. Thanks for the encouragement!

I love the trinity for all it teaches about interaction. The interaction between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is an excellent model for us in how we interact with God and others around us.

You're so right, Marshall! There's so much we can learn about relationships by meditating on the relationship of the Father, Son and Spirit.
