Stephen Altrogge works as a pastor at Sovereign Grace Church of Indiana, PA, where his main duties include leading worship, preaching, working with youth, and drinking coffee. He also has written a number of worship songs that have been included on Sovereign Grace Music albums. Stephen is the author of the book Game Day For the Glory of God: A Guide For Athletes, Fans, and Wanabes, which was published by Crossway Books in September 2008, and The Greener Grass Conspiracy: Finding Contentment on Your Side of the Fence, which was published by Crossway Books in April 2011.

Mark Altrogge

Mark Altrogge is the original triple threat: singer, songwriter, pastor. He has been the senior pastor of Sovereign Grace Church of Indiana, PA for over 25 years, and is the author of many well known worship songs such as “I Stand In Awe”, and “In The Presence”. When not pastoring or writing songs, Mark can be found consuming vast quantities of coffee. Unfortunately, Mark is not particularly gifted in the area of athletics.

I get that error message when I try to read you in IE, but it works okay in Firefox. If you can fix it, please do, as my wife and I use a separation of browsers regime to let us both use the same computer without constant login issues.

Love your blog, guys! It's one of the first I read every morning. One problem: I use FeedDemon as my RSS reader, and whenever I click on a post, it causes it to crash. Not sure if others have this problem, or if it's just me. Otherwise, keep up the great work! Thanks.

HI Stephen and Mark, Trevin Wax linked to an article from yesterday that I was interested in reading, but it appears that the link is now broken. It was about asexuality and being fractured. Any idea when/if that post will be available at a later time?

I was wondering if any of you knew where to get C.J. Mahaney's "Passion for the Church" sermon series. I emailed the Sovereign Grace store, and they said it had been discontinued. I googled it, but didn't find them anywhere. I figured you guys might know where/if it's still available. Thanks!

Dear Stephen,

Aside from a shared faith and belief in God, the community makes the heart of any church. Many churches are turning to social media to increase this feeling of community and keep their congregations involved. However, as mobile becomes a rising force in people's lives, they are spending less time in front of their computers and more time on the go. Churches are taking advantage of this by creating mobile apps to maintain connections and keep their congregation plugged-in no matter where they go.

FANtastic4Churches (http://fantastic4churches.com) is the perfect solution for churches that want to enter the app marketplace without a large financial investment or hours of development time. This new platform boasts an app-builidng-machine that creates apps for FREE with a simple drag-and-drop process. That means a church can build an app in just about 30 minutes or less for no cost! Check out these fantastic features that be built into a FANtastic4Churches app:

· A full, searchable mobile version of the Bible included in the app
· Post church news on the integrated church blog and social networking sites
· Sermon audio/videos for those who can’t make it
· Share important forms and documents in one place
· Spread the love at home and make worship songs easily downloadable
· Display your church prominently with directions and maps
· Click-to-call contact lists to reach your administration and committees

I hope you'll consider spreading the word about our new free app-building platform with your audience so that they can create their own apps. If you'd be interested, I'd also be thrilled to write a unique guest post for your site on how churches are integrating mobile among their congregations or something similar. Also, if you'd like a personal tour to walk you through the app-building process of creating your own free app, just let me know and I'll get that set up for you ASAP.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing back from you. Have a great day!

Sincerely,

Ummmm…Steve you have a really nice Mormon ad on your website complete with music and video placed by the ad company you have contracted with. I am sure that you are not aware of this so I thought I should tell you.
